One of the first necessities to painting on glass is to be sure you are purchasing paints that are made for that purpose. You want to make sure that your paint will not chip or flake off when you are using the painted item. The paint that I like to use says on the back of it that it is for glass. I never buy it unless it mentions the word glass in the directions.
